Hello class, this year has really gone by quite fast, but it was really fun, so here we go! The least favorite part of the class for me was how we read the majority of the stories by ourselves but I understand because there just was not enough time in the year to thoroughly read each literary piece in class! If we read it in class I think it would be easier to understand the meanings behind the writing easier, but it was manageable. My most favorite part about the class was our variation of project choice's, it was always interesting and caught our attention, and was just enjoyable to do. For example, the PowerPoint presentation on the smart board, or designing a cereal box, they were all great idea's!
My least favorite piece of literature that we read this year has to be "Nature" by Ralph Waldo Emerson. "Nature" was a very descriptive, classic work of transcendentalism. It was just a very long description about literally what he saw and just went into great detail, which can be quite boring if it is not your type of interest, as i can presume it is not for most people, especially myself. The most interesting piece of literature has to be "Coyote vs Acme", it was towards the end of the year and it introduced us to a whole new type of writing, satire! It was my favorite piece because it was about a popular TV show that i watched when I was a kid, which automatically grabbed my attention, and it was the perfect choice to keep it till the end. 11th grade was a really fun year, I hope 12th grade will be just as good, thanks for the great class Mrs. Kirkman!
PS: I ACTUALLY DID MY BLOG ON MY BLOGGER! my biggest problem of the year!
